Are you a Scout Leader whose only solution to conserving water is to turn off the faucet? Requirements for the Wolves Bird Elective leaving you wishing you could migrate yourself? The Seneca Park Zoo can help!
Whether you’re looking to spend a couple of hours or spend the night, we have a variety of programs to meet your scouting needs. Our Day Workshops last 2 1/2 hours and are held on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the school year. In that time, participants will see an animal presentation, tour the Zoo and complete activities all aimed at meeting scouting requirements. Our Bunk with Beasts overnight experiences take place on Friday and Saturday nights. In addition to the activities completed in our Day Workshops, participants will also enjoy a pizza party dinner, a nocturnal tour of the Zoo with a special behind-the-scenes peek, a late-night movie and snack and sleeping in one of our exhibit areas.
Seneca Park Zoo’s Scout Programs cover a variety of topics for all levels of scouting. Daisies and Brownies can begin their “Journey” at the Zoo. All levels, from Brownies to Ambassadors, can complete a variety of Skill Building and Legacy Badges while exploring the Zoo’s exhibits. Cub Scouts can work toward a variety of electives, achievements, and activity badges, while Boy Scouts can work toward their Merit Badges.
